After graduating from design school in 2018, I began my career at a small Rotterdam studio, where I learned the foundations of identity design by working on restaurants, cultural projects, and independent labels. From there, I moved into a larger agency environment, contributing to brand launches and digital campaigns for teams across Europe. Two years later, I joined an early-stage technology startup as its first in-house designer. Building everything from the visual identity to the product website taught me how design decisions travel through an entire business—not just a launch. Since 2022, I’ve worked independently with founders, studios, and growing companies across culture, technology, and consumer products. Eight years into my career, I’m still motivated by the same thing: finding the simple idea that makes a brand feel clear, human, and impossible to confuse with anyone else.
My practice sits between brand identity, art direction, and digital design. I usually join a project early, working directly with founders and small teams to understand the story, the audience, and the ambition behind the business. That thinking becomes a visual system spanning typography, color, image-making, motion, and tone of voice, then continues into the website or product experience. I stay involved through the build, collaborating closely with developers or working directly in Framer so the final result keeps the character of the original idea. Some engagements are focused—a new identity or launch site—while others develop over months as the company grows. I value honest conversations, quick prototypes, and details that earn their place. The goal is never decoration for its own sake; it’s a coherent system that gives a brand confidence, flexibility, and room to evolve.
